This blog is something that I should have started a long time ago, but now is better than never! I going to start off with our family- 1st there is my husband, Dale, next are my 3 boys- Britt 16, Jackson 10 and Clete 2(almost 3). Our household oozes testosterone 24hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. Our boys are truly ALL boys- the dirtier and stinkier the better! I have all but given up on the dream of having one of those homes like you see in the magazines. You know the ones where everything is neat, clean and orderly, free of clutter! Not in my house- there are always crumbs on the counter, stains on the carpet, grass and dirt on the linoleum and rings around the bathtubs. I could clean my house from top to bottom, I mean have it SPOTLESS- the next morning it would be dirty.
I love my family though and even though it is frustrating at times, but I wouldn't have them any other way. I live a lot of the time alone, because with the changing seasons come the changing interests. Baseball is over now until the Spring, bird season is over until next Fall and football is close to done. The big attraction right now is Deer season. I remember last Christmas day, I spent that afternoon alone, why? DEER SEASON. These boys are in the woods whenever they get the opportunity, its CRAZY!!! Rain or shine or snow, it doesn't matter they are there! There will be many nights in the coming weeks that the baby and myself will have dinner alone or for that matter on the weekends the whole day alone. Its fun sometimes, but not when everyone on the Christmas list still has to be bought for and lugging a 2 year old around in the crowds just doesn't cut it.
So we will begin the journey this Holiday season, hope it will be entertaining!
