Congratulations Coach Dale!!!

Congratulations to the Opelika Dixie Boys 13 year old All stars!! They are the sub-district champions. They finished their tournament Monday night with a 3-0 record. The head coach for the team is none other than my husband Dale!!

Dale fussed about me taking pictures saying "Robin it's just the sub-district, do you have to take pictures?" I say YES!! It is another great accomplishment for him and I am very proud of him!!

The team will begin the district tournament this Friday at 12 noon in Montgomery.
Good luck guys!!!

Clete's First Trip to the Zoo!

Clete took his 1st trip to the zoo today. He was so excited and absolutely loved it! I think Dale and I were just as excited as he was! The zoo was great aside from the brutal heat! The exhibits were awesome!

Clete soaking wet with sweat, but happy!

Tori's Wedding

On May 23, 2009, Tori and Paul were married! It was raining cats and dogs that day, but they say that if it rains on your wedding day that it is good luck! Clete looked absolutely adorable in his suit that Wanda made for him and he did a great job as ring bearer. The crocks were not part of the original plan, Tori wanted him to be barefoot. I bought the tan crocks for him to wear before and after the wedding, but when it came time to walk down the aisle, he didn't want to take his shoes off! I figured if that was the only glitch we were going to have out of him, then he could just wear them down the aisle. They kind of matched everything!

Britt and Jackson also looked very handsome in their suits! They clean up pretty well!

Tori looked amazing, in spite of the storms, her hair held up like a champ! Paul looked pretty spiffy himself!
It was a beautiful wedding and we wish them all the best! We love you guys!

Good Times

This weekend was busy, busy, busy!! Jackson had his City Championship baseball tournament on Thursday and Friday night. Dale also had a ballgame Friday night. Dales parents threw their annual family bar-b-que with Northcutt Realty at the lake, they are both employed there. MiMi had called us earlier in the week about coming up for the bar-b-que, but at that point we really couldn't commit to coming. She and Pop really wanted us to come up since they were leaving to go on vacation to Florida on Sunday. Dale had been invited by a sales rep to go play golf on Saturday so he told them that we would ride up after that. Dale finally got home around 7:00 so we packed up and headed to the lake. When we got there MiMi and Pop were still going, full steam ahead trying to get cleaned up. After we had been there about 15 minutes or so, MiMi realized that Pop had disappeared, prior to that he was running every which a way putting stuff away. She looked out the kitchen window, then turned to me all teary eyed and said "Look at that, you need to get a picture of that, Pop and his boys on the swing." Evidently Dale had the same idea because he then appeared out there with our camera. MiMi really wanted me to be sure that I posted the picture, so here we go!

It was very sweet, Clete and Jackson and Pop, just chillin' on the swing!! They LOVE their Pop and Pop LOVES them!

On Sunday we all headed out in the boat. Clete was thrilled to be able to get in the water. When we arrived at Chimney Rock he jumped right in with Jackson, who himself was just as thrilled as Clete. Jackson absolutely adores Clete and vice versa so they had a great time. Carson and Hamilton are their cousins, all the boys had a great time as well as the adults. It was just a wonderful family day to end our busy weekend.
