7 months old! Time please slow down!

Today Tripp is 7 months old!!!  Time is flying by way to fast with this sweet little thing!  He is by far the most laid back baby that we have had.  He pretty much just hangs out and plays with his toys, jumps in his "Jumperoo" or sits on the couch beside me when I am working on the computer.   He eats whatever you put in his mouth, not picky at all!  I feel bad eating in front of him because he just sits there watching, smacking his little lips.  We are currently working on 3 more teeth in the  front, which has kind of thrown us for a loop!  I dressed him in this outfit today because it was one of my favorites that Clete used to wear.  He has been saying "DaDa" for a couple of months now, he refers to me as "NiNi".  I am always in his face saying "Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy", which I guess he has converted to "NiNi".  As you can see in the pictures, he loves playing with his plush baseball rattles and a little football that actually belongs to Clete.  The day after Clete was born, Jackson brought it to the hospital for him and now he has passed it down to Tripp.  When his toys roll away from him, he flops onto his belly and tries to "swim" over to them.  Anyway, enjoy!

Evidently my little man is not picky at all about where he sleeps!  This morning after breakfast we were having our usual playtime on the pallet, I got kinda distracted by something on my "BravoTV" show that I was watching.  After a few minutes, I noticed how quiet it was.  I looked over and there the little booger was!  He had crawled under the coffee table and gone to sleep!  I love that kid!!

Rainy Saturday

This week was pretty slow at the Cook house.  Clete's birthday was Wednesday so Tripp and I loaded up in the car, with Little Debbie cakes and juice boxes then headed to the school to celebrate his birthday with his class.  Clete was so excited for all his classmates to see Tripp, he is a very proud big brother!  Clete got a HUGE surprise from MiMi and Pop at his birthday party last weekend:  WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!  MiMi and Pop are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year and are having a vow renewal ceremony.  After the ceremony, we are loading up and heading south for a week!  Clete is soooooo excited, I think that I may be more excited than he is though!  I have been to Disney World 3 times,  the last time was when I took Britt when he was Clete's age.  Britt loved it and I am positive that Clete and Tripp will too.  I can't wait to buy Tripp a pair of Mickey Mouse ears to wear around the park!  The trip isn't until the end of May, so we have a lot of time to prepare.  I can't wait!!!!

Today was just a rainy nasty day.  I went shopping for a little while and got a pleasant little surprise of my own: bought a new pair of jeans, SIZE 1!!!!  Not bad for a 36 year old Momma of 4 that just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy 7 months ago!  Anyway, other than that we just hung out around the casa.  While my hunky hubby cooked us up an awesome dinner, I walked around the house and snapped a few pics!  I tried to get one of Tripp's new tooth, but to no avail!  Hopefully the other 3 will break on through this week and I can get his new toothy grin on film.  I'm kinda sad though, I am gonna miss his precious little gummy smile!

Birthday Madness!!!!!!

It was full blown birthday madness at the Cook house this weekend. Clete's birthday falls on a Wednesday this year so we chose the weekend before it to celebrate. Clete wanted to have a friend spend the night for his birthday this year, so after school Friday we acquired another 6 year old boy! I grossly underestimated the power of two 6 year old boys! By party time on Saturday, I was running on pure adrenalin. Clete had a great time though and the party was a success! Clete originally wanted an "Angry Birds" party, but there were no "Angry Birds" decorations to be found. We finally settled on a "Cars 2" party!
