Today was Clete's 1st day of preschool for the year at Bright Beginnings. I had been having trouble getting him to understand that his old teachers are not going to be in his class this year. I was kind of scared that he would have a melt down when he didn't see them this morning. He did great though, just walked right in and never looked back! I was the one having to struggle to hold back the tears! This is his 3rd year at Bright Beginnings, but it doesn't get any easier realizing that your babies are growing up. I still cannot believe that he is already 3 1/2 years old, the time has flown by. Next year Britt will be a Senior! I am already worried about how I am going to deal with my emotions at Graduation! I wish that I could some how stop time, just for a little while.

1st Week of School

Our little baby, who is quickly turning into a little man!

Well Britt made it through the first week of school. He seems pleased with all his classes and actually made it on time every morning! I was worried that since he was so accustomed to sleeping in that he would be late at least once, but he pulled himself out of bed each morning. He is especially excited about his art class, it is a drafting class. Britt is so talented when it comes to drawing, he can draw ANYTHING!! He must get that from his Aunt Damaris, because Mama can't draw a stick figure! Clete doesn't begin Bright Beginnings until the 25th, but he is ready to go. We bought him a new backpack, "Transformers", he asks everyday when he is going back to "preschool". He always makes sure that he refers to Bright Beginnings as preschool and not daycare, he's a mess! Other than that we have had a pretty calm week. I got my hair done, thank goodness I have an excellent stylist who is also a good friend, no matter how hard I try, he won't let me pay him a dime! Dale is finally starting to have relief from his back problem, the chiropractor has worked wonders! All in all we've had a great week and hope that it continues. The only downer for us this week has been the health of a friend. He was riding a bicycle last Saturday morning, training for a race, and was hit by a car. He currently is still in a medically induced coma due to the head trauma, so everyone please continue to pray for Ty Garner and his family. Clete and his son were good buddies in Bright Beginnings last year, they have a great family!

I copied this one from the hard copies, as soon as I get the CD I will post more. The boy knows baseball!!! I think it is safe to say PITCHER!!

These pictures mean a lot to me, they are probably the last ones I will get of him in a smocked shirt with gingham shorts. My baby is turning into a little boy.
